PE and Sport Premium
The dedicated primary PE and Sport Premium, which was announced in March 2013 and has continued since. This goes directly to primary school head teachers so that they can decide how best to use it to provide sporting activities for pupils.
Sports Premium evaluation 2024-2025
For academic year 2024-25 we have received £19,710 of funding.
Bearbrook have decided for this academic year to focus on the following:

To improve the number of after school and lunchtime clubs available, especially focusing on the engagement of Pupil Premium children.

To improve lunchtime provision to enhance opportunities to be physically active.

To bring PE to the 'front seat' and ensure that healthy living is seen as a key skill for children to be learning.

To continue to ensure that more teachers feel confident in teaching PE.

To improve assessment in PE.

To ensure we have high quality resources to facilitate lessons and lunchtime provision.

To improve PD in Reception and Pre-school.
Swimming Data for Y6
The percentage of Y6 cohort that can swim competently, confidently and proficiently a distance of at least 25 metres is 73% (out of 60 children).
The percentage of the current Y6 cohort that can use a range of strokes effectively is 73% (out of 60 children).
The percentage of the current Y6 cohort that can perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations is 72% (out of 60 children).
