Many thanks to all the parents who attended the Bedtime Story Evening and open parent forum meeting. It was very well attended and gave us a real insight into current views within our school community. We would welcome any other ideas, suggestion or feedback by using our new parent voice page. Free Childcare for 2 year olds
Your child could be eligible for up to 15 hours of free childcare each week during school term time. You could be eligible if you are in reciept of one or more of the following: Income Support, Income-based jobseeker's Allowance, Income-related Employment and Support Allowance,support under part VI of the immigration and asylum act 1999 and the guarantee element of state pension credit. New Holiday Club from October Half Term onwards
Busy Living will now be offering a Holiday Club during every school holiday starting with the October half term. This will run from 8am to 6pm with flexible hourly bookings at £3.50ph (min 4 hrs), or full day discount of £30 for first child and £27 for siblings. All children aged 4-11 years are welcome, even from other local schools and a planned range of activities, sports, craft and games is already available. Come and find out about the Breakfast, After School and Holiday Clubs at their 1st Birthday Open House Party on Wednesday 10th September anytime after 3.15pm in their new room (old year 2 classroom). Ban on Energy Drinks
We would like to remind parents and carers that energy drinks such as Lucozade Sport, Red Bull, Mountain Dew, monster etc are banned from school. Children who have these drinks in their lunch boxes will have them removed and offered water as an alternative. All drinks will be returned at the end of the school day. A letter has been issued and can be found in the 'Documents' section.
Term Time Holidays and Unauthorised Leave of Absence
From 1st April 2014 penalty notices are in operation for instances of unauthorised absence. Please see the 'Documents' section for further details.

Breakfast and After School Club - Ofsted Graded ‘Good’
In association with Bearbrook School, Busy Living After School Team (BLAST) offers flexible bookings for Breakfast Club from 7.40am including healthy breakfast and After School Club running up till 6pm daily. Qualified, police-checked staff provide pre-planned fun activities, sports, crafts and games for children aged 4-11 years. Ofsted registered with a ‘Good’ grading, childcare vouchers accepted if available and flexible, online bookings available up to 7pm the night before.
