EARLY YEARS EXCELLENCE HUB
Working with families and community to build a
An exciting new approach to the reduction of inequalities in child development, and to improve readiness for school has been launched by Bearbrook and Elmhurst Schools as part of Buckinghamshire County Council’s strategy to improve prospects for children and their families.
The two schools have been working in partnership with Buckinghamshire County Council to create the Early Years Excellence Hub, which incorporates the existing children’s centres and both schools’ early years’ teams.
The Early Years Excellence Hub will provide:
Help and support to families and carers who will be at the heart of this new approach;
High quality provision from pre-birth to age 5 and beyond, which is easily accessible to parents;
Integrated services for children and families from pre-birth to age 5.
The Early Years Excellence Hub operates throughout the year and will work with partner agencies to provide universal support for all families and targeted support for vulnerable families. Many existing services will stay the same but the local needs of the catchment areas of Elmhurst, Watermead, Coldharbour and Oxford Road will be explored to decide on new services.
Services will be designed with partners and families to meet their needs and to provide the support they need.
